Come on you stranger, you martyr, you legend and shine
The prisoner finally indulges in something his dad has enjoyed for decades. My Dad, during his misspent youth was an enormous prog rock fan, the family vinyl colection contains a disproportionate amount of ELP, yes, Blue oyster cult etc. despite this i had never really listened to pink floyd until yesterday. Inspired by the performance at live8, Dad bought the Wall (the movie not the album) which i watched and then immediately started listening to Echoes (the album not the song). I now concede that they are very good, well called Dad (and DTM),though i'm still not entirely sure why Bob Geldof shaved his eyebrows off. Tetley the ninja kitten, and the twins The Prisoner and the critters that invade his garden We have new neighbours next door and in total there is 8 of them, two adults and six kids. plus a dog, and tetley the roaming free spirit constrained in the form of a kitten. We first met a few weeks ago when we were having diiner out back, and a very small cat wandered up to us, regarded the assembled party for a moment, and then dived into mothers flower bed. We retrieved him and took him back next door, reasoning that such a small cat had no business wandering around on his own. Obviously tetley had other plans. Last night dad and i sat down in the front to watch 'to the ends of the earth' the new 3-part drama from the bbc, Spiffing! I caught some movement in the corner of my eye and assuming it to be my sister come down from bed for some reason i turned around, and beheld a very small cat (now sporting a very fashionable bell!) sitting next to me on the sofa. Stealthy little bugger, god knows how long he was sitting there before i noticed him, had he been a ninja assasin i would now be dead. I get the feeling he's going to grow up to be one of 'those cats' who gets up to all sorts of craziness. in other news, in our plum tree out back we have two dove chicks, they are about half size now and don't have all their feathers but are already flapping in an attempt to take off. fanscinating stuff. I of course have more time to observe them due to my termianl unemployment. and my mum and sister (those famous ornithologists) have gone berserk in their enthusiasm for these creatures. i should have pictures soon. todays music: Pink Floyd - Shine on you crazy diamond (parts 1-7) todays t-shirt # posted by The Prisoner | 9:25 AM | |
