"...and in the grove, by gate and hill, midst merry throng and market clatter - stood the Hall of the Mountain Grill where table strain'd 'neath loaded platter."
the legend of Beenzon Toste title comes from the sleevenotes of a hawkwind album. Fucked if i know what i'm writing about. lets just see where this goes shall we? i'm currently sitting in a computer room at uni, listening to two porcupine tree albums (not at once) and pondering, i have nothing to keep me occupied so i have slipped into that semi-depressed reverie i normally end up in when i have nothing to do, most commonly just as i go to bed or when i'm on the train or towards the end of the evening at the tap 'n' tin, though that could just be the alcohol, actually it probably is. Anyway, recently it seems that i'm perfectly happy until i have a moment to myself, when suddenly i go 'oh shit' and get all depressed for no one reason that i can think of. For a long time i assumed it was cos i was bored out of my brain through being away from uni, but i don't think thats the case, as much as i hate to admit it and thought i had finally pulled myself together it's probably my continuing status as an eligable bachelour. fuck. there should be a law against couples in public, rubbing my nose in what i dont have and constantly reminding me what i'm missing. Of course i only see the postive side of everything and wish i had that, but its not all good, i know from many of my friends that its also an incredible pain in the arse, but i'd like to be able to discover that for myself. fuck it! enough moping! i'm off home now, hopefully i'll cheer up a bit in time for screenwriting on wednesday, I was right in my suspicions, Goran is a genuis and his lectures are a strange and wondeful place. todays t-shirt: I'm the Stig todays music: Hawkwind -master of the universe # posted by The Prisoner | 2:14 PM | |
